Saint Anna Winery

Σχετικά με το

Near the village of Kato Potamia in the mountainous interior of Naxos, we meet Manolis Petrakis, the owner of the Agia Anna Winery.
Manolis is someone who visited Naxos frequently from a young age because of his family roots on the island. He later studied at the American Farm School of Thessaloniki and then at the University of Agriculture. After completing his studies, he spent several years in Athens, but because of his love for his homeland and his interest in viticulture, he returned permanently to Naxos in 2016 and continued developing the winery that he had started together with his grandfather in 2009.

The name Agia Anna comes from the small Byzantine chapel of Saint Anne located on the estate.
Manolis explains that what makes Naxian wine stand out from others is the island of Naxos itself and its unique climatic conditions, which are ideally suited to producing its distinctive flavors. Visitors can experience these qualities firsthand through the wine tastings offered at the winery.

The winery’s aim is to promote local production and to help visitors understand the passion and dedication that local producers bring to their craft.
